Supporters of former Senate Majority Leader Mohammed Ali Ndume have stormed the National Assembly to protest his suspension by the upper house of legislature last week.

Nebuz recalls that the Nigerian Senate suspended former majority leader Ali Ndume for six months for bringing unproven allegations against his colleagues Senator Dino Melaye and Senate President Bukola Saraki. The move was one of the recommendations of the Senate Committee on Ethics and Privileges which probed the allegations of certificate forgery against Melaye and avenging of seized bulletproof Range Rover against Saraki.
